Getting Ready for Spring – JCC and EChorus

Most folks are getting ready for the December holidays right now. But, if you are a choral director you are already thinking of springtime and flowers and singing birds and warm sunshine. Our director, B.J. Whitehouse, is putting together a choral program for the J.C.C. of classical and popular tunes about springtime. “Now Is the Month of Maying” and “Younger Than Springtime” come to mind.

After a short break following our December concerts the chorus will begin rehearsals back at the Central Baptist Church! We’ll start up on Monday, January 16, 7-9PM. It is wonderful to slowly (and safely) emerge from the pandemic. The chorus is open to everyone. There are no auditions but the director will check your vocal range if you are new to the group.

If you would enjoy a more casual singing experience, check out the Everybody Chorus. As the name implies, the group is open to everyone! We’ll start rehearsing on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 9:30AM until 10:30AM at the Jamestown Recreation Center. The first 2023 program will be a St. Patrick’s Day concert in March.
