Chorus Will Celebrate Diamond Jubilee!

The Jamestown Community Chorus is excited to announce that we will be 75 years old this year! The Jamestown Choral Group, founded by Rita Murray was established in 1949 as musical group for women and men joined a few years later.

The current membership is planning a Diamond Jubilee for the December 2024 concerts and we are looking to the public and former members to help out. There will be a series of special events leading up to the December celebrations including interviews, videos, photo ops, seminars and performances. And, the public will have an opportunity to purchase a commemorative Christmas tree ornament produced right here in Rhode Island!

As we approach the December dates we will invite chorus alumni to join the current choristers for a few familiar pieces at the concerts. Also, we will host a few sessions for interviews and sharing.
