The Jamestown Community Chorus has been singing in this area since 1949. But it is good to remember that choruses are made up of individual singers. The first half of the May 14 concert will be solos and pieces sung by an octet. The works include “Sing We and Chant It,” “O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion,” “Pie Jesu” from Faure’s Requiem, Persichetti’s “sam was a man,” and works by Vivaldi, Bach, Mendelssohn and William Billings. We hope that you will be able to join us on May 14 (and, hopefully, May 15 as well) for our Six Centuries of Choral Music concert.
